It’s 2024! It’s the year of the dragon. My family loves to celebrate the new year with the traditional sticky rice treats and red envelopes for the new year. The adults in the family would gift a red envelope with money inside to the younger members of the family. We also enjoy going to new year festivals to watch lion dancing. A pair of dancers would wear traditional dragon costumes and do tricks like jumping on high platforms together. Other groups of performers would hold up dragon puppets to make them dance and move like dragons!
